‘Lara’ makes an entrance and Christian is silenced
Another glorious weekend for walking with blue sky and warm sunshine. Elen’s castle proved a great base, with good food and a warm welcome from the husband and wife team who had recently taken it over (more of them later).
We did half of the Snowdon horseshoe, taking in Snowdon (3560ft) via the Pyg Track and Y Lliwedd (2946ft) via a great scramble. Rachel graced the occasion and weather by donning her Lara Croft outfit. The only time I’ve seen Christian speechless was in his exchange with a pretty fell runner we passed on our way up.
